A Zerg Tutorial video from HDStarCraft.
During the US Thanksgiving break, I was finally able to find time to watch some SC2 video matches, specifically the Dreamhack SC2 Tournament, as this is the first time Dreamhack ever featured a StarCraft tournament.
Naama a Terran player ended up winning it, with MaNa, a Protoss player coming in second. The game 1 and 2 finals was won by Naama but there was a nice ass come back by MaNa in game 3 and 4. Game 3 was a damn good game.. I was able to find it via YouTube below. WATCH IT!

A Korean channel will be doing a two part documentary on Lim Yo-Hwan, a.k.a. SlayerS_’BoxeR’ a.k.a. The Emperor to his fans, or simply just BoxeR to the rest of us. He is one of the most popular and highest paid SC progamers in the world. BoxeR already has a “greatest hits” type of DVD out already, so this is just the next natural step. I think its great that they are doing a documentary on him. It goes to show how gaming can be a serious sport and career (if you’re that good at it!)
The first part of the documentary already aired, so hopefully we can start seeing English subs pop up on YouTube soon.

Starcraft, 2010′s best selling PC game was nominated for a few titles in the 2010 Spike Video Game Awards:
- Best PC Game
- Best Multiplayer Game
- Best Performance by a Human Female
I’m a little surprised that they weren’t nomited for the Game of the Year title, but then again, I am biased.
Also, Blizzard Entertainment was nominated as in the Studio of the Year award for StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty.
It’s not clear how you vote, so if you can figure it out, let me know.
Blizzard recently released some statistics for the leagues as of November 11, 2010.
| NA – Global – 11/11 PvT: 59.8% PvZ: 51.7% TvZ: 50.3% |
NA – Diamond – 11/11 PvT: 55.3% PvZ: 52.1% TvZ: 48.4% |
| Korea – Global – 11/11 PvT: 57.0% PvZ: 49.7% TvZ: 54.2% |
Korea – Diamond – 11/11 PvT: 58.0% PvZ: 43.0% TvZ: 46.1% |
| Europe – Global – 11/11 PvT: 51.0% PvZ: 48.6% TvZ: 51.5% |
Europe – Diamond – 11/11 PvT: 48.3% PvZ: 51.5% TvZ: 51.4% |
They also wanted to clear up some misconceptions on the stats:
First, these numbers shift fairly rapidly as newly discovered strategies spread through the community and they’re changing all the time. Also, due to the way the numbers shake out, we expect a variance of +/- 5% in these results; win/loss ratios that are +/- 5% suggest balance between those races. So, if a win/loss ratio is approximately 55%:45%, then that’s still within acceptable boundaries. By contrast, win/loss ratios exceeding 60%:40% could indicate that a small imbalance might exist and merit further investigation.
